Cara is a part time therapist for us here at Yusavage Family Chiropractic. She has years of experience as both a physical therapist and a massage therapist.
Along with her therapist background she also has several years of experience in a wide variety of roles in several different areas of healthcare:
Paranich Wellness Center (2004-2008)
Health and Wellness Director at the Scranton JCC and oversaw the fitness center, cancer wellness center, and the pool. (2008-2013)
Worked at Volunteers in Medicine, Scranton, where she was the director of a non-profit organization that provided healthcare to the working poor without insurance to those residence who lived or worked in Lackawanna County (2013 -2016)
She has also taught various medical courses online with Kaplan University, and in a traditional classroom setting at the University of Scranton.
Currently she is working for United Neighborhood Centers Community Development Division in Scranton. It is here that she oversees compliance through HUD for our current properties, work on developing affordable housing for new properties, and write grants for services for their tenants at their properties.
We are really excited to have Cara on our team as she brings a vast knowledge of rehabilitation and other services that give her the ability to be one of the best therapists in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
